Stave snare drums all have unique tones and feels. Depending on the species and specs, the solid wood shell can explode and crack with sound or provide a smooth and mellow backbeat. There is also an inspiring amount of "give back" when striking a stave drum, making for an incredibly joyous playing experience. These drums are made up of many beveled wood segments carefully arranged for grain/color match then glued together.
